A conference titled “Identifying Young Talents in Football and Bringing Them into Youth National Teams“ was held at our faculty.

The conference titled "Identifying Young Talent in Football and Bringing Them into the Youth National Teams," organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching, was held in our faculty's conference hall with a large attendance.

Opening speeches were given by our Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching and also the President of Kütahya TÜFAD (Turkish Football Coaches Association), Prof. Dr. Mehmet ACET; our Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr. Çetin ÖZDİLEK; and our Rector, Prof. Dr. Süleyman KIZILTOPRAK.

The invited speaker of the conference, Mr. Emrah BAYRAKTAR, the Football Development Director of the Turkish Football Federation, shared comprehensive information on identifying young footballers at an early age using the right methods, planning talent development processes, and bringing these athletes into the national teams in the long term. Bayraktar touched upon topics such as the current state of football infrastructure in Turkey, talent scouting models, coach-athlete communication, and sustainable athlete development, and presented examples from on-field applications.

The program included: The event was attended by Mr. Savaş ÇAM, Director of Youth Player Development at the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) National Teams; Mr. Ercan ŞİRİN, Deputy Director representing the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports; faculty members from our department; Mr. Murat CENGİZ, President of ASKF (Amateur Sports Clubs Federation); Mr. Nuri ERCURA, Provincial Football Representative; Mr. Osman ALTINKAYA, President of Kütahya Spor Football Club; esteemed presidents and board members of our grassroots organizations; football coaches; members of the sports press; and students. Participants had the opportunity to learn about current football development models during the conference.

The program continued with a question-and-answer session, during which students asked questions about career planning, youth development programs, and coaching processes, gaining valuable information.

The program concluded with the presentation of a plaque and gift to Emrah BAYRAKTAR for his contributions, and the event ended with a group photo session.
