Program Profile
The Department of Physical Education and Sports Education is an interdisciplinary field that includes subjects such as educational sciences, educational psychology, sports psychology, human anatomy and kinesiology, exercise physiology, training science, psychomotor development, and teaching principles and methods. In addition to professional knowledge, the department aims to ensure that its students graduate as qualified, research-oriented, contemporary, productive, and well-equipped individuals who can develop accurate solutions to problems in a short time and closely follow scientific and technological developments.
Assessment and Evaluation
In this program, various assessment methods are applied, including midterm examinations, assignments, exercises, projects, practical applications, and final examinations. Assessment methods may include written exams, multiple-choice tests, assignments, performance evaluations, and product evaluations. In order to graduate from the program, students must achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 out of 4.00.
The grade for each course is determined based on the evaluation of the components mentioned above and is expressed as a letter grade. The letter grades and their corresponding coefficients are presented below:

Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate, students must successfully complete all courses in the program and must not receive grades of FD, FF, DZ, or YZ. Students are required to complete a minimum of 240 ECTS credits and achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00 out of 4.00.
Employment Opportunities
Students graduating from the Physical Education and Sports Teaching Program are awarded the title of “Physical Education and Sports Teacher.” Graduates may work as Physical Education and Sports Teachers in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. In addition, graduates of the program may also work in academic positions at universities, public institutions, and private organizations.
